some of ajax's other friends who could sing lovelier things than he could were also very happy when he spoke to them of the great idea, and some even began to sing spontaneously.

And before it had even really begun, ajax was alone on the stage feeling like a personified verse of "teeth in the grass" by iron & wine. Flavoured with the chorus of "Family Secrets" by subseven and watered down with "Vito's ordination song" by sufjan stevens. And breathing hard like "about a burning fire" by the best band on Earth. The 2006 show was over.
At this point in this account it might also be important to mention that a certain mr. jacob israel, another old friend of ajax, was lodged in the audience that fateful night, even though he didn't stay for the whole show because he had something important to do like eat sushi or invite squarepusher as a myspace friend..JPG)
Shane just looked cool. As far as ajax is aware though, Shane always looks cool. 
The boys from that terrific band SHU (who will be sorely missed and fondly remembered) were also there, and quite happy it would seem. Old friends of ajax, these two big guys. And oh yes, they were unplugged.
Some people were there in 2006 who did not even know ajax. And ajax did not know them. And they were relatively unknown. Before this picture hit the world wide web. A picture which Marc Morris took..JPG)
Other people were there who were very familiar with ajax, and can legitimately be referred to as his friends. Of course the wonderful people in the previous picture might also have a more legitimate claim to this title after witnessing the great unplugedness.
Spitizen single-handedly spat some severe secrets surrounding the shape and structure of society at the sizeable seating plan. Sincerely. sssssssssssss..JPG)

Some very important people were gathered in the Intimate Theatre. Some even more important people were mountain climbing in Switzerland and could not be there. But when they heard about the level of unplugedness they were displeased, and agreed unanimously that if proper marketing and promotion had reached them in time, they would have made every effort to be there, including such drastic measures as the selling of houses and lemonade-stand fundraising. There was only one foreigner in this group of even more important people who knew the terrible truth about how horrible Swiss lemonade is, but it suffices to say that he was caught up in the hype and managed merely a smile and a nod, and found his arm involuntarily engaging in the unanimous high five session that immediately followed this discussion deep in a valley in the Alps.
Desmond and the Tutus were not mountain-climbing. They were there, and they were unplugged.
In fact, Shane, the multi-faceted multi-dimensional translucent hyper-intelligent frontman of Desmond had even designed this flyer, which was unfortunately not distributed in Switzerland.
